Gold | Sparkling Magic Edible Glitter | UAE

1. How do I use edible glitter in drinks? (The “Dry Drop” Method)

For the best visual shimmer, always use the Dry Drop technique: add a small pinch (approx. 1/8 teaspoon, or 0.15g) of Gold directly into the bottom of a clean, dry glass before adding ice or liquid.

Pour your chilled cocktail, champagne, prosecco, or mocktail over the powder.

Rising effervescence from carbonated drinks instantly lifts and swirls the glitter into an endless 3D shimmer vortex without any clumping.

2. How much edible glitter should I put in each drink?

A small amount is all you need!

We recommend 1/8 teaspoon (approximately 0.15 grams) per 150ml–250ml cocktail, champagne flute, or glass of wine.

Each standard 10-gram BUH Glitter jar provides 40 to 50 individual servings.

For large party punch bowls or champagne towers, add 1 full teaspoon per 2 to 3 liters.

3. Is edible drink glitter 100% safe to consume, and what are the ingredients?

Yes, 100% safe and certified food-grade.

BUH Glitter is formulated strictly from food-grade mineral mica and approved food-safe colorants compliant with US FDA 21 CFR regulations and European Parliament standards (EC No 1333/2008).

Our edible glitters are 100% Titanium Dioxide Free (E171-Free), Halal compliant, Kosher, 100% vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, and allergen-free.

They pass naturally through the human digestive system without absorption.

4. Does edible glitter alter the taste, aroma, or texture of cocktails and beverages?

No.

BUH Glitter is completely odorless, tasteless, and texture-neutral.

It dissolves the light, not the drink—preserving the delicate aromatic notes of vintage champagne, craft spirits, wine, artisan mocktails, or espresso 100% authentic with zero grit or aftertaste.

5. Does edible drink glitter stain teeth, tongue, lips, or crystal glassware?

No.

Because our lustre dust is formulated with ultra-fine, non-staining food-grade mineral mica, it will not dye your teeth, lips, tongue, or hands.

Any residue in glasses or on cocktail rims rinses away completely with warm water.

6. When and on what occasions can edible glitter be used?

Gold is versatile across all celebrations: weddings and champagne toasts, bachelorette weekends, baby gender reveals, birthday parties, VIP nightclub bottle service, corporate galas, Halloween, and New Year’s Eve.

It performs beautifully in carbonated cocktails, still wine, mocktails, beer, warm specialty lattes, cocktail glass rims, and dessert decorating.

7. Does edible glitter dissolve in liquids, or how does the shimmer work?

Authentic food-grade mica does not dissolve like sugar or food dye—and that is what makes it magical!

Because the microscopic mineral flakes remain suspended, carbonated beverages (champagne, prosecco, tonic, soda) continuously circulate the particles upward, creating an endless rolling galaxy effect.

In still beverages, simply give the glass a gentle swirl with a spoon or straw to re-activate the shimmer.

9. Is Gold also called Gold lustre dust, luster dust, or shimmer dust?

Yes. Lustre dust, luster dust, shimmer dust, beverage shimmer, and edible glitter are all different names for the exact same food-grade mineral mica pigment.

“Lustre” is the British, Commonwealth, and UAE English spelling, while “luster” is the American English spelling commonly used in the United States.

In cocktail bars and mixology, bartenders call it shimmer dust or drink glitter, whereas bakers and pastry chefs traditionally call it lustre dust.

BUH Glitter Gold works identically across all uses: it creates an iridescent metallic swirl in cocktails and wine, and can also be dusted dry or painted onto cakes, chocolates, and pastries.
